Travel Advisory: Buffalo

by Carolyn Ristau

For the last 2.5 days, instead of writing today’s blog post and preparing slides for my presentations at the APA PA Chapter Conference next month, I have been dealing with the fallout from a break-in and attempted theft of my car.

If you are planning a trip to Buffalo - which I highly recommend, it is an interested city with good food and friendly people (except for those who think its okay to steal cars) - think twice before taking your car. The city is having a big problem with car thefts and break-ins, particularly with cars in the targeted brands, such as Kia. Repair shops have a several weeks backlog and parts are likely on back order because of the hundreds of stolen cars being brought in for repair.

I look forward to exploring Buffalo more, but the next time I will be taking the bus.
